• I am looking to find the right mix of musicians to create my full sound experience live!

2011. 

• Every year I become more and more energised and excited about the direction of my music.
• I have been exploring and developing my creative musical abilities and working with special guest artists.
• For select festival gigs this year,I have had the excitement of performing with a full band backing me. 'Marnie & the Men from Delmonte' . With Callum & Steve on Guitars, Dan on Drums & backing vocals & Dave on Bass.
• I have been busy with lots of recording, Session work, Songwriting & Festivals & more street performing all over. Weymouth, Exeter, Kings Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Sidmouth Folk Fest, Swanage Folk Fest, Devon Dub Fest, Snooky Trust-Livestock...

 June 2010.

• Much the same shinanigans going on as below really...The recordings going well, slow but well...
• It's been great to get out street performing. I've been to Weymouth, Exmouth, Exeter, Woolacombe, Illfracombe, Bideford & Bideford lots, Barnstaple, Westwood Hoooooo!, and many more....Off to try out my hometown next week!!! :)

Mar. 2010.

• I've felt that 2010 is the time for me to focus on certain areas.
• I've been doing lots of songwriting for the new album I'm recording...
• New Demo's to send to the top studios for session work and labels etc...
• After over 7 years of developing my vocal abilities, I'm now improving on my guitar skills. This feels like a long hard slog as it doesn't come easy for me. If I hear something, Vocally I can learn to sing it, almost anything. Guitaring doesn't come naturally so it's very hard work and lots of repetitive chord changes again and again until, by jove i've got it!!! :)
• I've also been enjoying more session work and having songs especially written for my vocals. mmm nice!!!
• I'm not gigging much at the moment. There's only so much time in a day and it takes a mass of time and energy to book in gigs, so i'm focusing on the long term plan for the moment. Once it gets warmer, i'll be out and about, all over singing with my shiny new battery powered amp!!!  OOh Yea!!!   :)

Nov. 2009

• Well it's been a busy year. I am now finally performing solo gigs :) yippee! 
• It's also been really exciting working with Rupe & Ben -  Mr Zen and also doing some joint gigs with Sound of the Sirens. They are an all gal band with three part harmonies jam packed with personalities. They are awesome! Check them out on my links page!
• I've also been doing lots of session work. That has been fun working with different people on lots of tracks and trying to create the sounds people want. It's been lush listening to them layering up my vocals so they sound nice and fat and doing lots of harmonies. :) good times!
• I haven't finished with this one yet, but I'm really excited about next year. With being able to work solo, the plan is to tour all round England and hey, maybe the world :) sharing my music with all that wanna hear it!

June 2009

• I have just uploaded a load of video's to youtube from the last few big gigs we've had. Check them out. I think that's it for now. I will be updating the myspace and my website video page shortly...
• The Acoustic gig with Marnie & Me, Katie Marie and Dan Crisp went so brilliantly well. Everyone sat quietly intently listening. It was a great, fun evening with a fab mix of music.
• I had my one and only big gig with the Jabbrock band. We played the Auditorium at The Exeter Phoenix Arts Centre in April. It was really good fun and the sound, lighting and space was awesome.
• I have been so busy with life, work and gigs etc. that I had to make a really hard decision. I realised that there just wasn't enough time in the day to do everything that I want to.  I just couldn't work with Jabbrock and persue my music & songwriting to the extent that is needed, so I sadly had to say goodbye to the funky band. I wish them all the best with their great music career!!

March 2009

• GIGS - Lot's of Marnie & Me gigs coming up :) 
• We have a very special gig in April in Totnes starring Marnie & Me, The one & only Miss Lady Katie Marie & a talented dashing Mr Dan Crisp. It is a ticket event with a unique night of quality original music from each, then becoming a trio for the last songs of the night....
• and also my first gigs with the Jabbrock (funky) band are coming up soon. We've a couple in May and then headlining at a big one in July.
• Tis all tummy turning stuff...will post more news as it comes in...

February 2009

• Three new Cd's are now available for sale on my online shop.
• New album is still under construction...
• Marnie and Katie Marie are two unique solo singer / songwriters who have joined forces to create 'Marnie & Me' .   This acoustic duo entwines raw vocal harmonies and heartfelt lyrics and oodles of rhythmic loveliness mixed with as much soul, enthusiasm and silly humour as is humanly possible!

• Take a looksee' on you tube for the 'woodlouse song' - go on, it's very silly, you'll laugh your socks off!! and send it to your mates.
• Just got back after singing some toons' in Germany with Lady Katie Marie on tour. The Woodlouse song has now crossed over the language barrier!! Check out blog page for blurbs....soon to be updated :)
• I've been practising my little fingers off , on the guitar and am slowly getting betterer' :)
• Lots of gigs coming up in 2009 and lots of new originals too....:)

November 2008  It's all going on!! :)

• I am now recording a new Cd of my most recent 2008 Original music.
• I now have two new albums out.  ( 'Another Step Forward'  and  'Marnie and Me-Volume One')  They will be for sale in my online shop shortly.
  
• Over 2008 I have still played some gigs with greatly talented guitarists and been working with new musicians so that I can still sing my little, big heart out !!! Exciting times!

September 2008  

•  I am busy song writing at the moment and will be recording my new songs shortly.

2008 has been a slow year for me really. There have been lots of changes. I've been trying to find a guitarist who has the same vision and dedication as me and wants to take the music in the same direction long term. This is hard to find as everyone has different goals and values and jobs...But it's a bit like what George Michael said....You just gotta have faith....do-be-do-be-do-be-do  :)

I am still performing some acoustic gigs and still have a great sound.     

I am also working with a band called 'Jabbrock'  which is a really fun project.  It's very dance'y / funky music. Sounds a bit similar to Faithless or Leftfield.   We are busy song writing and recording our first album at the moment..... Good times !!  :)

         'Marnie's Barmy Army' T-shirts are still in preperation mode but will be for sale.
